Animals start to recognize familiar faces, feeding times, and their new surroundings. They start to settle into a routine, and trust continues to build as compassion care is consistent and reliable.
Their immediate medical needs have been addressed, their care plan has been established, and volunteers are learning about the animal's preferences and personality.

As the weeks turn into months, rescued animals start to truly settle in. They have often started to form strong bonds with the animal care team at the sanctuary and/or other animals. Any necessary medical treatments or rehabilitation programs are well underway. The animal's unique personality becomes fully apparent, and they engage more confidently with their environment. The animal care team can now refine long-term care plans based on observed behaviours and preferences.

On average, it takes six sponsors to fully care for one animal each month. Your support combines with others to provide stable, ongoing care for the animals.
How many animals will my sponsorship support?
While we don’t send individual updates, we’ll share stories and milestones through newsletters and social media so you can see the difference you’re making. If you’d like an update on a specific animal or project, feel free to reach out anytime!
Will I receive updates about the animals?
Yes, all monthly contributions to Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary are tax-deductible. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.
