Complaints Policy

POLICY STATEMENT

Lily's Place Animal Sanctuary is dedicated to handling complaints efficiently and effectively. The complaint process is designed to address concerns raised by individuals in a timely manner that allows Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary to gather insights that will help to improve services, staff, and complaint management.

PURPOSE

This policy is designed to ensure that Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary addresses complaints in an efficient and effective manner and helps in resolving all complaints. This policy applies to all staff involved in complaints related to Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary.

POLICY

A complaint is a dissatisfaction or concern regarding a specific issue, service, product, or behaviour related to Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary. Anyone can submit a complaint to Lily’s Place, and it will be taken seriously and will be thoroughly reviewed.

A complaint can be submitted verbally or in writing. Once a complaint is received it will be logged, and all contact information of the individual will be recorded. 

The staff member who receives the complaint is responsible for either resolving it directly or forwarding it to management who can address the issue. If the complaint is forwarded, the staff member must confirm acknowledgement of the complaint with the individual and reassure them that appropriate action will be taken in a timely manner.

All efforts will be made to resolve complaints promptly.

If a complaint cannot be resolved efficiently, it should be forwarded to the Executive Director. Every effort will be made to address these complaints within 30 days of receiving them.

At all times, Individuals shall be kept informed during the complaint process.

There will be a record kept of all complaints received by Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary.
