Edith was brought to the sanctuary almost two weeks ago for a better life. The owner's words were, “I’m not going to slaughter her; she deserves better.”
She didn’t have a name, so we chose Edith.
Edith was attacked at her previous home by other birds living there. She survived but is missing a significant number of feathers on her back and has a large wound that’s in the process of healing.
There seems to be a lot of scar tissue around the wound. We were told that each time she was reintroduced to the other birds, she was attacked again.
