This winter, four gentle sheep have a chance to find safety and lifelong care at Lily’s Place Animal Sanctuary. They’re part of a larger group of nine sheep being placed by a partner rescue — and with your help, we can open our gates to welcome these four home.
When we heard about these sheep, we knew we had room — not just in the barn, but in our hearts. They’ve each known uncertainty and change, and now they need stability, care, and the comfort of a sanctuary where they’ll never be used or unwanted again.
The person who has been caring for these sheep is stepping away from farming. It’s a situation we see often — when people shift away from animal agriculture or retire, they’re faced with the difficult question of where the animals will go.
Without safe placement, many farmed animals are at risk of being sold at auction or falling into the wrong hands, where their futures are uncertain and often tragically short.
Sanctuaries like Lily’s Place step in to offer an alternative — a home built on compassion, where animals are valued for who they are, not what they produce. By helping us welcome these four sheep, you’re preventing that uncertainty and giving them a lifetime of safety and peace.
At Lily’s Place, every new arrival is a promise: that they’ll be loved, fed, and treated with kindness for life. But bringing animals home — especially before winter — takes preparation and care.
To welcome these four safely, we need to raise $1,430 to cover their winter hay. It’s a simple, essential need that fuels everything else — warm bellies, soft bedding, and peace of mind for the whole flock.
Your gift makes that possible.
Here’s how your support helps:
Every dollar goes directly toward hay and feed for these incoming sheep — and every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to opening our gates and saying, “Welcome home.”
Because of supporters like you, Lily’s Place continues to be a haven for animals who might otherwise have nowhere to go. Together, we can make this winter the start of something beautiful — a new beginning for four sheep, safe and loved at last.
