When farm animals face neglect or abandonment, who can help them?
Be The Reason
hello@lilysplace.ca
We’re growing our volunteer team!
In the new year, there will be even more ways to get involved and help animals, including the two roles in this post.
While the new year is a ways off, we’re starting our search now for two friendly, people-loving humans to help us welcome others into the Lily’s Place community.
If that doesn’t sound like you, no worries, there will be additional roles coming up soon, including a few that are already posted.
However, if you enjoy chatting, connecting, and helping folks find meaningful ways to get involved, one of these roles might be a perfect fit for you!

1. Volunteer Engagement Specialist (3–5 hours/week)
The person in this role keeps volunteers feeling supported, welcomed, and connected.
They will check in with new volunteers, help match them to the right roles, and make sure no one slips through the cracks.
If you love conversations, gentle nudges, and helping people shine—this one’s for you.

2. Volunteer Recruitment Lead (2–4 hours/week)
The person in this role helps bring new volunteers through the door.
This role is all about outreach—connecting with colleges, community groups, neighbourhood pages, and local networks to spread the word about volunteer opportunities at Lily’s Place.
If you enjoy meeting new people and helping others discover ways to make a difference, you’ll thrive here.
