When farm animals face neglect or abandonment, who can help them?
Be The Reason

Annie has been understandably sore on her leg, but to make sure everything was still ok with her plate and such, an extra X-ray was done today. Thankfully, everything is fine, and she’s more comfortable now. She’s going to remain at the hospital until at least the end of the week. Whether she comes home on the weekend or later will be decided on Friday. In the meantime, Sid continues to be a Walmart greeter hanging out the front of the stall right by the gate.
Currently, Annie’s hospital bill is over $3200. That’s mostly surgery, as the hospital day rate for staying there is about $40. Since it’s a long drive back to the sanctuary from AVC, we’re going to make sure Annie stays at the hospital for as long as she needs to be as ready as she can be for travel. The last thing she needs is to be bumping down the road post-surgery and flaring things up.
