Johnny was rehomed to the sanctuary from Nova Scotia when his former owner wanted a better life for Johnny and June.

2023

Johnny arrived with his little friend June in April, 2023.  He was rehomed to the sanctuary from Nova Scotia when his former owner wanted a better life for Johnny and June

Johnny is the tallest sheep we’ve ever cared for! He’s the big boss man around here 😅.

Johnny is still settling in here, but he’s a sweet guy, and with each passing day, he gets a little less bossy. It’s incredible to see the animals settle in and realize life is good here. They don’t need to be pushy (or bossy) because they are in a protected environment. They learn that they don’t need to be frantic about food because there’s plenty to go around.

Fun fact about Johnny:
He has the cutest trot when he notices us or spots new hay being put out. His trot is a combination of a happy dance and a light jog 🥳🏃‍♂️. If you visit us, you might even spot him doing it!
