Daisy

Daisy was a tiny 3-week old duckling when she arrived in our care in 2020.

Daisy

Daisy has a big personality, yet is one of the smallest residents at the sanctuary, weighing less than 2 lbs.

Daisy

Daisy's favourite things to do are hangs out with her best friends Milo and Annabelle, dig in the garden, and talk to anyone who will listen!

2020

Daisy and Milo, two baby call ducks (3-week old ducklings) found a forever home with us on May 30th, 2020.

Daisy and Milo were the first set of babies to arrive that warm summer weekend. Orphan Annie & Punky Brewster 🐑 showed up the very next day! ⁣⁣

Daisy and Milo were purchased from a breeder and given as an unexpected gift for mother's day to a family who wasn't prepared for them. The family didn't have the proper setup to keep them long-term and searched high and low for a good home for Milo and Daisy. Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary connected the family with us and the rest is history! ☺️⁣⁣

Daisy

finding sanctuary

2023

Daisy loves lettuce, digging in the dirt, and using her bigger duck friend, Annabelle, as a floating device in the duck pool! Annabelle doesn't seem to mind, so it's not unusual for us to spot Daisy standing on Annabelle while Annabelle paddles around in the water.

When not hanging out in the water, Daisy is a prolific flyer! When the mood strikes her, she flies from the pasture, over the barn, and almost to the goat forest, leaving Milo and Annabelle scrambling to keep up with her.

Daisy, while loud with her quacks, has a more relaxed personality than her little friend Milo.

Daisy is happy to follow her other duck friends around, find a comfy place in the gardens to take a nap or check in on the humans in the barn.

While she'll follow Milo on an adventure, she's more cautious and isn't always completely sure she wants to wander as far as Milo.
