It doesn’t feel all that long ago that Tim returned to the sanctuary just before dark, opened up the back of the truck, and revealed two sheep; Johnny was massive, and June looked like she was stuck in a big woolly cloud. 

That was back in 2023, and to this day, Johnny still holds the record for the tallest sheep we’ve ever cared for. We’ve also never been as surprised as we were about a post-shear look as we were about June! 

June’s tiny stature and previously hidden black spots made her look like a baby cow (a Holstein calf) standing in the barn post-shear.
