We are headed into an animal welfare crisis that has already brought to light increased suffering and neglect.

Our intake and rehoming requests typically total 200 a year, or one request every 43 hours. Since the announcement to discontinue field services, we’ve surpassed our annual average of 200 requests, and we suspect the volume will continue to climb as we get closer to the March 2027 deadline.

When public-fee-per-use services end in Spring 2027, the animals will need access to care, emergency services, and qualified veterinarians more than ever.
