This weekend, we’re recharging our batteries and hanging out with the residents!

Why? Well first, why not? Lol but secondly, because spending time with the incredible animals we are fortune enough to spend our lives with is just good for the soul.

On a weekend when over 2 million* highly intelligent, affectionate, sensitive, and inquisitive animals lost their lives after a short, painful life, I’ll (Jamie) be spoiling the ones who found sanctuary at Lily’s Place. 🦃

That’s what holding on to hope looks like for me.

As an organization, our vision is for a world where farm animals are able to ⁣⁣
💙 grow old with dignity, ⁣⁣
💙 have lives worth living, ⁣⁣
💙 and be free from harm. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
While the world is a long way from that, I take comfort in knowing the residents at Lily’s Place experience that vision daily. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My deepest gratitude goes out to all who make this lifelong refuge a reality for animals at the sanctuary: supporters, donors, monthly sponsors, volunteers, helpful neighbours, members of the media, and friends of the sanctuary. We can’t do it without you 🫶⁣⁣
