2 pieces of good news!

First, Merlin’s Dr reported that he was much more alert this morning. He got up and came over to say hello easily, and he can now move his leg forward! As you’ll recall, he couldn’t move his left foot forward before surgery, so this is huge news! He’s having his pain managed by the experts at AVC and will remain in their care for a few more days to ensure he continues to improve.

Second, we were hoping for “6% Saturday” today (aka 6% of Merlin’s hospitalization and surgery bill covered, following 5% covered during $5 Friday). The excellent news is that 6% has already been surpassed, and we’re currently at 22% of Merlin’s hospital bill, leaving $1172 to go.
