Devastating news: Merlin passed suddenly tonight 💔

He arrived back at the sanctuary yesterday from surgery at AVC.

He was walking better than we had ever seen him move, yet in less than 24 hours, he collapsed and nearly instantly was gone. 😞

Merlin has been taken to the provincial lab for a necropsy to seek answers.

Mel looked into the stall after Merlin collapsed. She was his very best friend, and she came in to see for herself that he was truly gone.

I would write more right now, but, honestly, this loss hits extra hard because Merlin, a kind, sweet and gentle soul, deserved so much more life ahead of him.
