The week of Christmas, we hadn’t planned on taking in a flock of turkeys, but we also didn’t expect to be in Prince Edward Island (PEI) at just the right time.

We were in PEI to pick up and drop off residents from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC). This is a rare occurrence, despite the many animals the organization helps each year. While we do occasionally have rescue animals that require hospitalization or surgical services at the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital, this is uncommon throughout the year.

December was far from ordinary, with Annie undergoing surgery, Klaus being monitored, and Merlin in the hospital for diagnostic tests.

During one of the trips to AVC, Tim stopped to pick up some straw before heading back to New Brunswick. And, as you might guess, he came home with some unexpected stowaways!

Turkeys arrive at LP

Earlier this week, we shared a video of the boys from that flock settling into their new house, built right inside our barn. Now, here is a video of the four girls moving into their custom-built digs, too!
