Many of you know that Merlin is a gentle goat with a calm, affectionate nature.

You may also know that Annabelle is particular about who she likes, and when something feels off to her, she tells everyone. However, I’ve never spotted her doing that with Merlin. Even though he’s so much bigger than her, she’s not usually too far from him if he’s hanging around the barn.

Annabelle is also known for sticking close to Merlin when he’s lying down and will eventually lie down next to him. Merlin seemed content with Annabelle’s company and thankful for her watchful eye.

When she’s around, he doesn’t take long to settle in for a nap. I guess he trusts her to keep watch over him and alert him to any funny business.
