Now in our seventh year, Lily’s Place has provided compassionate care to over 90 farm animals since we started. That’s nearly 100 lives saved that had no other options for a second chance.

As domesticated birds, they had no chance of survival on their own. Roosters suffer from many misconceptions and are often victims of terrible cruelty, including abandonment.

After misconceptions and stereotypes are stripped away, it’s not hard to see how amazing, loyal, and friendly roosters are when they feel safe.

Black Beard, Bandito and Professor Peapod bring so much joy to our sanctuary family with their unique personalities.
